PB Camp 2011 ♥

it's been a great and wonderful 3 day 2 night camp i had with the fellow prefectorial board.
shall blog about this marvellous camp i experienced <3

day 01 (28/12)



day started off with lunch at macs with radiant :)
had a great chat about local dramas and the silly plots hehehe.
bet we had many people staring. :p
headed back to school for camp, and i was 'late' -_-
we were then given random group allocations (GREEN FTW)
had singspiration downstairs in the ava and it was pretty good :-)
got seated in our groups, and had 14 awesome people in group 3!
andrea, rachael, zhijing, bi ting, syazana, edith, heather, abigail, esther, shermaine, nadia, natasha & li yun :)
gotta thank you guys in advance for being the best team i could ever ask for :)
so we took level photos, brought our bags to the classrooms and headed down to the parade square for games :-)
played the scissor-paper-stone game, touch-it & dodge ball! ^^
touch-it was super funny 'cos we all nearly died of suffocation while trying to grab hold to someone who had the color that was called out :p
had lots of fun though!
dodge ball was even better 'cos it was super epic how we tried to hit our opponents with the volleyballs :P
i managed to hit one person though!!!!
#ACHIEVEMENT lololol.
after that we played the staircase game whereby we had to drag our butts up the grand staircase with our team!
super epic 'cos it looked super obscene :D
and guess what!
green group finished the butt game first WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :)
so we sang grace as a group and went down for dinner~ (Y)
had cabbage + sausages + fishcakes + rice :D
rice was pretty dry though :/
we all finished dinner pretty early so all 4 groups went to the parade square to play island game :)
i hardly ran..... but it was good fun + exercise!
then when the exco set up the game............. OMG BEST GAME EVER HAHAHAHAHA.
it was scissor-paper-stone on chairs (hopping from seat to seat), and the seat had ketchup + detergent + styrofoam + etc. HAHAHA.
I LOVED HOW MY SHORTS WERE ALL DIRTY THOUGH I HAD A HARD TIME WASHING IT XD
played captain soap after that and i totally sucked 'cos i am damn fail at captain's ball LOL.
i just stood there to be an extra HAHAH.
played this treasure hunt game where we had to find pieces of colored paper :)
i was blindfolded and our whole team was tied tgt too!
pretty challening but FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN :D
we had trouble untying heather's shoelaces and so i went round limping with an extra pair of shoe.... (thanks gillian for helping us untie though!)
bathed after that and felt squeaky clean!!!!!!!!!!!!
supper time and da food was good :)
like how we could make our own milo ^^
lights out was at 11+, but WE WERE RUDELY AWAKEN AT 2AM OMG.
AND THIS IS THE BEST PART (embarrassing shit).
I THOUGHT IT WAS 6AM 'COS I WAS STILL HALF-ASLEEP.
THINKING THAT IT REALLY WAS 6AM, I TOOK MY TOOTHBRUSH WITH ME AND WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM BAREFOOTED.
BUT I REALISED, "EH? WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE BRINGING THE TOOTHBRUSH?"
BEST.
I WALKED ON AND ON, THINKING WE WERE GOING TO THE TOILET TO WASH UP BUT NO, WE HEADED BACK DOWN TO THE PARADE SQUARE OMG.
I WAS LIKE WTH WHAT ABOUT MY TOOTHBRUSH! OK I'LL JUST DUMP IT AT THE STAFF ROOM'S PHONE.
THEN AT THE PARADE SQUARE I WAS LIKE K FORGET I'M OWNIN' UP, I NEED MA SLIPPERS.
LOLOLOLOL FAIL TTM RIGHT.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
I'M JUST SO RETARDED LIKE THAT HAHAHAHHA.
the night-walk was pretty draining 'cos i was still half-asleep, i was walking round aimlessly and was blindfolded for like 45mins.
i almost exploded...
finally got back to sleep at around 4+.

day 02 (29/12)



started off the day with morning exercise by doing push-ups, chin-ups, sit-ups and etc. hahahaha.
me and zhijing were super lousy at the sit-ups 'cos we kept laughing hahaha :P
or maybe it was just me XD
while waiting for breakfast, we all slacked around and lied on each other's tummy to rest :P
it was pretty good hahaha.
had bread with jam for breakfast and headed up to the dance studio for worship!!! :)
must say it was pretty good :)
went through all the SOPs of the different committees, pretty dry but oh well :)
STUDENT WELFARE FTW BTW
hahahaha but of course.
slacked around while waiting for lunch and caught up with mah awesome buddy, retards & best friend <3 ;)
came up with this awesome action with jasley when calling seow hwee.
ARMS AKIMBO IN A HIGH-PITCHED VOICE HAHAHAHAHA DAMN EPIC.
played animal concentration with the same people and it was so funny how we couldn't even remember our own animal sounds :P
after lunch we had a teeny little bit more SOPs, slacked around even more and then we had station games whoohooooooooooooooo! :)
first station was sudoku and it nearly pissed me off :(
heather was so fed up she guessed all the boxes trololol
esther was pretty good too! :)
glad to have known some juniors better through this :D
after super long we finally completed one puzzle LOL
headed to the next station of the timer thing, while most of them worked on how to synchronise the beat.
i was sitting in a corner figuring out sudoku puzzles in case we failed the clock station lol.
'cos if we don't meet the requirement for any station, we'd had to go back and start at the sudoku station :O
but green group succeeded and pulled through to the 3rd station where we had to squeeze lime, water & sugar into our mouths and spit it out to fill a cup LOL!
LOVED THAT STATION SRSLY!
green group was awesome and had an awesome time of 2mins 30secs!!!
we also got through the pail station pretty easily, but finished 3rd in the whole station games! :)

after that we did a sharing of what a pl prefect is like... and had dinner! :)
DON'T FORGET THE LYRICS GAME AT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.
the songs were all pretty familiar :)
green group got the SOPs questions correct but couldn't get the chance to answer the lyrics part correctly :(
and to my surprise seow hwee actually got the lyrics to lean on me correctly OMG SHE IS A GENIUS.
HAHAHAHAHA #GAYBIMBO.
anyway abigail answered the sop question right and i went up and picked JET LAG!!!!!!!!!!!

after that everyone got super high and we danced and jumped around to hip songs like PARTY ROCK ANTHEMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
everyday i'm shufflin'!
partied with the same gang omg AWESOME SHITTTTTTTTTTTT HAHAHAH :P
then everyone settled down for a movie!!!!!!!
i was freezing cold in the dance studio but the movie was great and taught me a lot about team success. <3
plpb all the way!

the best part was that we headed out to macs for supper at 1am omg!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
FAT BUT IDC HAHAHAH!
damn cool man!
70+ people walking to macs at 1am attracting stares from people was epic LOL!
but there was a minor car accident outside our school while we met up before leaving!!!
thank god we didn't leave any earlier :(

shared fillet-o-fish, fries & milo with jasley and the milo was plain gross hahahahha
so we shared a mcflurry again to cover up the taste :)
headed back to school and hid behind tables to give gillian a birthday surprise! :)

day 03, (30/12)



woke up earlier than usual 'cos i had cca from 9-12 :(
so i missed a part of the camp...
sigh.
had awesome cereal with milk for breakfast and orange juice :)
pretty good stuff!!!
had cca all the way till 12 and i was almost dozing off 'cos i barely had 5 hours of sleep the night before :(
but anyway!
luckily i didn't miss any interesting stuff, only singspiration + clean-up :P
yayyyy.
after cca we did affirmations and it was nice to have known green group so much better after this whole camp :)
did our group cheers + thank-you cheer for ms yee :)

okay hi guys.
it's been about a week or so that i returned from genting.
pretty good trip, 'cos i got loads of shopping done, arcade was (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y) & i was a good sister and accompanied janelle to sit the indoor rides.
i didn't have time/anyone to go with to try the outdoor theme park :-(
o well it's fine :)

anyway, there's been a change in lifestyle recently...
now i've gotta learn to be independent - wake up early to send my sister to school, make the bed, mop the floor, cook, do the dishes, fold the clothes etc. etc.
well, i'm already 15 and if i always rely on someone else to do it for me then i can really call myself a failure for life.
so yup, gotta get used to all this.
did i mention i cooked rice for the first time and it turned out to be semi-porridge, fried eggs for the first time and it turned out to be salted eggs (i accidentally spilled too much salt in), soup for the first time and it turned out to be plain water. :P
oh well practise!!! :)

my life has been pretty stagnant other than the change in daily routines...
tuition, homework, revision's very standard.
my life next year is going to be a roller coaster ride.
once i get on to it, i'm not gonna be able to stop.
all the way for o's!!!!!!

attended my cousin's wedding today :)
the videos were really good and the photos were really sweet :')
food was pretty okay! <3

i'm back from da cruise!!!
it's pretty much the norm 'cos my family goes on a cruise every year w/o fail :)

i'm not going to blog about what i did and all 'cos i know it's going to be super boring.
just going to blog about what i saw.

#1 - in the toilet (cubicle) i overheard a mother talking to a daughter.
M: eh she really a bit too much eh!
D: ya la! that stupid woman! she bump into me not enough okay, still ask her daughter come knock into me.
(my maid was waiting outside too)
M: (to my maid) see that woman so bad right?
*awkward*
M: did you take a picture of her anot! go and stomp her!

eh seriously. typical singaporeans only know how to stomp here and there. they really 吃饱饭没事做 ok. super qian bian. making a mountain out of a molehill srsly -_-

#2 - during breakfast/lunch buffet i saw this woman take 5 sunny side-ups.

are you a pig or a pig? eat eat eat and eat. who the hell eats 5 eggs at one go. i bet 'cos it's technically 'free' so she just loaded her plate with food. wtf man 5 eggs is not an exaggeration.

#3 - i went swimming in the adult pool and there was this stupid couple at the stairs of the pool sitting there breathing in air (a.k.a doing nothing)

WALAO. i was trying damn hard to swim laps but they just had so SIT AT THE STUPID STAIRS AND BLOCK MY WAY. i want to u-turn also cannot. and the girl cannot swim wth.

#4 - on my way to the lido (a theater), i overheard 2 old aunties saying "快点快点！li lu (pronounced lee loo) 的戏要开始了！"

hello aunty. it's pronounced as LEE-DOH, and not LEE-LOO. get it right please kthxbye it's disgraceful.

#5 - i was noticing the cruise staff members' nametag as they had their country printed on it. and i only saw china + philippines, no one from singapore AT ALL.

that's the thing about singaporeans (including me), we expect things to come to us when we don't even work for it. and when they don't we start to complain. OH GOD SERIOUSLY. if we don't work hard, it's gonna be hard for us to survive and one day our land's gonna be ruled by foreigners. that is not what i want!

#6 - i was having a bad stomachache and so i was stuck in the toilet shitting. then this stupid girl was queueing for the toilets and said to her mom, "mummy! this is such a waste of my time!" (in this stupid bimbotic accent)

YOU STUPID KID. i gave up my toilet just for you okay, you better be grateful. my stomach was hurting SO BAD and you had to complain that it was a "waste of your time". how much is time worth to you anyway?! what could you even do with the time you were queueing for the toilet anyway!? KIDS THESE DAYS ARE SO SPOILT. IDIOT.

sigh sometimes i feel ashamed to be a singaporean. EVERYONE IS SO FREAKING COMPETITIVE PLS. some always have to be first in everything, first in class for academics, first to queue up, first to board the bus, first to go to the toilet, first to take the food etc. etc. and we are always so kiasu, everything also must have discount, offer, sale, promotion, what else. zzz. AND OUR SINGLISH. goodness. i know it's become a norm for us and this post is obviously in singlish, but some people (like those auntys) need some serious pronunciation class. but well, this is singapore for you.

oh and did i mention i saw this 60-70+ y/o granny wearing a tiara. YES A TIARA. i didn't know whether to laugh or cry

so we bought a volleyball there, and we started playing...
soaked myself in the waters most of the time!
the heat from the sun was blistering and my feet on the sand w/o slippers was like a cooked egg! :@

volleyball was v good (y)
though we are like super lousy and kept hitting the angmohs (who got kinda pissed with us) and other people, it was pretty fun tossing it around and laughing at anchi hahahaha :D
sat at the mat and gossiped about -ahem-, and then i napped for like 15mins?
and that's how i think my face got slightly slightly burnt...
it's red now, especially my cheeeeeks.
headed to the toilet to bathe and went back to vivo, train-ed to NEX :)
had lunch at like what, 4.30? @ jack's place!!!!
good food = happy people ;)

to be honest i am super annoyed with you.
seriously you have some freaking attitude problems.
when i talk to you you seem super angry all the time.
and the tone you use to talk to me and her is completely different.
i'm not jealous, i'm just irritated that you always talk to me like i owe you a life.
i know you don't know it, but subconsciously you treat those who ALWAYS give in to you alot better than those who don't.
it's soooo obvious.

and honestly i think being a fan of one direction.... sucks.
no, don't get me wrong, i love one direction and their songs.
but, people these days are so damn judgmental, it's hard to label yourself as a 'true fan'.
just how do you define a directioner and a directionator?
i find that being their fan is really stressful as people say you gotta know 'every single thing' about them.
i mean... so you mean only those diehard/hardcore fans are 'true'?
i don't know but i think this 1D fanbase is awful...
why can't everyone just be happy and fangirl/fanboy together?
does it really matter about how much you know about them/how long you've known them?
those fans that say "i've known them since the start" or "you're a directionator 'cos you only liked them now!" really annoy me.
can't one direction have new fans too?
they might not be the most knowledgable but shouldn't you be happy that 1D is gaining popularity?
then there's all this talk about how the expansion of their fanbase makes the chance of you getting to meet them slimmer.
there's some truth in that, but honestly, if one direction is happy to have so many fans in the world, or are making it big with their albums selling like hotcakes, shouldn't we be happy for them too?
i know everyone is dying to see them, even i am, but sometimes it just can't be helped..
but anyway back to the new and old fans thing, it just really annoys me because i can't help but feel insecure as their 'fan'.
i don't even know how i should classify myself.
i love them and their songs a lot and i do try my best to catch up on news of them, so am i a 'true' fan?
and i didn't exactly watch EVERY interview of them or know EVERY single thing about them or have known them since the x factor, so does that make me a 'fake' fan?
i don't know, i really don't know.
i just find that society these days is so screwed up.
the 'true' fans bully the 'fake' ones, but honestly, can't you just be more mature and think how one direction would react if they actually saw these mini fanwars going around everytime?
if i were one direction, i would be so ashamed and disappointed to have such a disunited fanbase where the old despise the new.
i don't even dare to call myself a 'directioner', least i get dissed at.
maybe it's just me and my lack of confidence, but that's my feelings after reading some posts and tweets.
the last absolute thing i hate about being a 1D fan is that you are labelled as a directioner or directionator based on the social networking sites you are most active on.

so you mean those on facebook are the bloody fake ones and those on tumblr are the genuine true ones?

guess it talks about me living a life fulfilling enough, and that i've tried my very best to live up to all the expectations i'm dealt with.
and that now i'm already gone, just let me go in peace, but remember me as someone who cared, loved, and just... stop bearing grudges against me.
i don't need to be known as someone noble, but i just wanna be remembered as the girl/lady who lived a life of happiness.
so when i pass on, just let me have the opportunity of being honoured by everyone.

i mean, i honestly care for you.
i try my best to make you happy 'cos you're a true friend to me.
but when i realised my efforts and sacrifices were futile, it pains me because it feels like i wasted all my time on you.
i still care for you but...
i'm just pretty disappointed at this.

this guy's voice is amazing.

well, this song is sooooo sweet and romantic, and if it were to be played at my wedding...
i can just imagine this song being played and to me it'll tell my other half how beautiful he is :)

well, today, i went out to tampines on my own to shop for x'mas presents!
i'm 80% done though!
just need to shop for a few more little things ;)
headed down to abs' house to discuss cca fair stuff with nana and sheryl :-)
ended up playing wii and watching kampong ties instead LOLOL.
went for bio tuition and it was pretty good!!!
talked about lots of jc/uni stuff, but learnt quite alot!
cool stuff but it was sorta like a wake-up call for me.
gotta start studying hard for o's now.

30/11 BBQ @ Sheryl's!

yesss.
had cca fair comm meeting in the morning but nah nothing much to blog about!
oh oh!
except that i think broaster's chicken is bad because i could only finish 1 piece of chicken.
it's super oily and has a weird taste :(
oh and we saw the noose cast there! :)
cool stuff. (y)
cca fair comm meeting in the afternoon was.......... hahaha.
we only had a 20 min 'meeting' which got melissa super pissed :/
aiya i honestly think the meeting was kinda redundant.
ok anyway!
after the meeting, me and sheryl headed to kovan to buy balloons and party stuff!
nearly bought sparklers but bought glowsticks in the end!!! :)
YAYZ.
headed back to sheryl's place after meeting stacy.
put up the balloons and decorated the cake!!!
we were trying to stall for time but abs and yx were so excited to come!!! >:(
haha but we managed to delay them till about 5 :p
so we were pretty good! ;)
when they came, we played a bit of monopoly deal and watched antm, masterchef etc.
took a few unglams of them then haha!
played till about 6.15 and waited for gillian and melissa to come!
helped out with the bbq, and since me, stacy and abs wore contacts, we borrowed sheryl's shades and wore 'em to bbq & took turns.
funny ttm haha!
cooked the chicken till they were chao da cos we didn't know how to judge LOL!
the sausages yx was like "aiya expand and got bubble means cook alr!"
LOL!
had dinner tgt after bbq-ing everything and when everyone was here :)
awesome bonding time <3
talked about a lot of stuff ;)
and a bat flew over our heads while we were eating omg!!!
after that we played with the sparklers + glowsticks!
took many pics with diff poses super funny haha!
and that night i think we must have contributed to a lot of air pollution :p
the smoke was literally moving down the aisle of houses outside LOL.
had chocolate fondue for desert and it was (y)!!!
though i don't like chocolate and marshmallows, but the bananas were heaven ^^
teehee.
after that sheryl and stacy went to get the cake by escaping to the 'toilet'!
yx was super taken aback 'cos she was pestering us to sing her a birthday song the whole day since there was 'no cake'. :)
oh gosh yx ahahahaha
hope it was a pleasant surprise for you two ^^
we managed to keep the secret well enough ;)
cut the cake, nom-ed, talked, gave them their presents and spammed polaroids!!! :)

it's been a great november.

1/12 Chemistry Project Work

had lunch with my grandparents today at hougang plaza.
food was super good and filling <3
walked around a furniture shop for fun with my mom then headed down to nex to meet janice, phoebe, erinna and jean ying to do chem project work.
we did it in like.... 30 mins lol??
then played monopoly deal with them + erinna's brother.
and they say i too noisy la ask me keep quiet then i became a mute girl for like 15mins...
after the game walked around popular and had sogurt!
shared with janice and phoebe = $1.60 only ^^
shopped for christmas presents but couldn't find a suitable one :(
sigh.
train-ed with janice to sengkang and met my parents at compass point.
walked around there too but there was nothing zzzz.
sucks.
headed home and had dinner with my grandparents too :)
good family times!!!
