Sec 1 Camp 2011 :)

hello! as you all know i was away for the 3D2N sec 1 camp :) and i tell you it was AMAZING. :) really amazing. the experience acquired from it is truly priceless and indeed i've learnt many things from it. definitely one of the best camps in my life! :)

so here goes!

Day 1
the camp committee reported in the hall at about 2pm, while before that all of us were chasing the sec 1 classes up. it was quite a sight, as i saw this girl who actually brought a mattress! like you know those kinda sofa-bed size? yeah those. i was too shocked for words :O so after that we all settled down in the hall, brought them to their dorms to place their bags, and reported back to the hall again. first up was devotion, then singspiration. we sang and jumped to catchy songs like my redeemer lives, still, one way, we are one etc. i tried very hard to get 1-2 (i'm their group leader and) to sing, but they were all still rather shy about it. but nonetheless it's okay cos' it's only day 1! :) after singspiration was mass games!!! (i'm so excited cos' i planned 'em) but however it turned out quite hard to carry out the games because the hall was soooooooo noisy, it was hard to do self-introductions. we started off with whacko, then double whacko. which was difficult cos' me and wenjing could barely hear anything from them, and they could barely hear us too lol. but anyway, after that we played dog and bone! though it turned out to be pretty rough cos' a girl from another class was injured, i think 1-2 still had fun playing it against 1-1 ;) next up is the who has the....? game, which is the one where you send out one representative from your class and then you compete against each other tho see who has the longest hair, for example. though 1-2 didn't win anything, but it's okay! :D after the long mass games, we had a mass dance practice. :) all of them were enthusiastic about learning it, with the exception of some and persuading them to dance was really tough, but oh well, at least i tried :) it was shower/dinner time. 1-2 got to bathe first, but my energy was kinda drained by then. i had to help them fill up their pails and buckets - it was some sort like water rationing haha. at first i was struggling to find the fastest way possible to fill the water cos' the tap was really slow -_- but after awhile i got the hang of it :) when 1-2 finished bathing, it was dinnertime :) sang grace and did the hungry cheer! after dinner was the night game! super duper fun cos' we were touring round the school.... at night ;) the stations were all very fun, 1-2 was more enthusiastic, and was the only class that didn't laugh at michelle doing the chicken dance :) GO 1-2! :D and we were 3rd in completing the trivia quiz! so yay! had supper right after that and had milo and muffins. lights out @ 11pm for the sec 1s, and we had a debrief at 11.45pm, so we bathed then and had the debrief until about 12+, so we slept at around 1.30 to 2... :(

Day 2
woke up at like 5.40am!!! :( we barely had 3 hours of sleep :/ washed up and woke the sec 1s up, brought them down for breakfast. it was like what, oily noodles :( and at like 6 in the morning some more... nuts. flag-raising with the rest of the school, then we proceeded with our own activities. started the day off with devotion and sings. again :) had a great time! after that we played journey of choice! though we didn't finish all the stations, but ah well! 1-2's enthusiasm was going up up up! :D great! then we had another round of stations games, which was called game-o-rama, and the water bag toss totally left 1-2 hyper hahaha. that was our first station for 1-2 and 1-5, and the station masters took very long to come... so we started cheering and having a competition to see which class is louder (and it is obviously 1-2 hahahahaha) ;) yihui super funny there la hahaha. the balloon burst also got my class high, while during bomberman, me and wenjing were sitting in a corner... :P after those games it was lunchtime aye. i ate the vegetarian fried rice (which was totally awesome)! after lunch was the much-anticipated amazing race, but due to the bad weather, we could only carry out our wet-weather plans and have it in school. and because of that it didn't go very well, cos' in our dry run we didn't execute this plan and so everything was in a big mess. 1-2 completed like three-quarters of all the stations and was in the lead when the teachers decided to leave the school to complete the rest of the stations -_- everything was quite screwed up... but at least we had fun outside school. mrs dhaliwal was there with 1-2 all the while, that's what probably helped us out alot :) our kite was really awesome too! thanks ruth and kerlyn for leading :) and the group leaders of A, B, C and D too! especially amanda, she's got great potential too! when we came back from school, 1-2 was the first one and so they got to bathe first! yay! this time me and wenjing didn't help them with the water though, cos' wenjing's neck was really sore and my feet had two swollen balls hahah. at night we made our kite and were briefed about finale night, where i was made to go up and choose the song for 1-2 and we got DON'T STOP BELIEVING BY GLEE! though idk that song, i was hoping that since glee was very popular, many people would know the song. however it turns out that only about 5 people know the song!!! :O so much for the false hope :( but it's okay, i got those 5 people to teach the class the song, while i tried to find radiant to sing for 1-2 cos' yeewah failed totally lol! but thanks for the effort, wah! :) that day wasn't very productive for our finale night, but we thought it was okay as we had another 1h15min the next day. after that was supper, and it was milo, bread and pears this time :) usual lights out, then usual debrief. :( slept a little earlier that night, but it didn't really make a difference for me...

Day 3
got to sleep slightly more today, woke at 6am T_T called the class to wake and wash up, and they stayed in class for assembly cos' of temperature taking. same went for us, and after that we brought them for breakfast. had devotion and singspiration again after that :) then 1-1 to 1-6 had their disc profiling from 9am-11am, and in the mean time 1-7, 1-8 and the camp committee had to make the aluminium foil candle holders. since i suck at this kinda craft thing, i decided to just help mrs soh with the helping of badges. AND THIS WAS WHEN THE PEOPLE WHO HELPED ALL WENT HIGH. LIKE REALLY HIGH. :D yihui kept calling me retard for no reason. like 'eh you retard la go take the chair for teacher' SUPER FUNNY I TELL YOU HAHAHAHA. and then i was damn slow at packing the badges, i only managed to finish 1-2's :P then mrs soh gave us a task to do - which was to find a table for the badge presentation ceremony. and this was what sparked off the beginning of the retard family :) me, yihui, hazel and seowhwee were made to find a table and bring it to the back of the hall. first we went to the back of the hall and found a wheely table. and the stupid thing was that the hall was blocked by a barrier so you could not walk/run around the hall. then we were wheeling the table here and there and decided we should show it to mrs soh and get her approval. then we were like being retarded and all about moving it here and there, and about not blocking the road/pathway (epic moment). we realised we spent like 45 minutes wheeling the table around, laughing and talking crap :P so after that we went back to the hall and found the suitable table. FUNNY LIKE WHAT I TELL YOU. it was the table that was infront of the hall all along, used by the camp committee. HAHAHAHA then mrs soh also approved. and we got the cupcake stickers from the amazing race and pasted it on our shirts. and the retards call me 'lao da' just cos' i got the biggest cupcake sticker -____- but it was another really epic moment of fun ;) so we were thinking of putting a sign stating 'do not take away' so nobody would take it. after writing it, i was about to bring the paper to hazel and seowhwee who were waiting backstage for me and yihui to come. we took masking tape from pb room and retarded-ly found 1-1's badminton racket hahaha! so while i was walking to the backstage holding the marker in my hand, i was like 'eh here!' then suddenly epic moment #3, the marker flew out of my hand and only the cap was left -_____________- can you imagine how retarded i was. so it was somewhere under the drums/guitar/bags/stage platforms. omg la retarded me ;( found it after 15mins and then we had mass dance practice again, and my patience reached the limits this time cos' i pulled those who weren't dancing out and placed them in front. :/ not that i wanted to do so, but i was really at my limits. we played another round of mass games again, and then it was lunch. awesome :) next we had time to prepare for finale night, but it turned out to be only very little time! it was 1.30pm and we had until 2.25pm to prepare, and nothing really much productive surfaced... we only finished the first verse :( i was getting really frustrated cos' there were many disagreements and uncooperative people... not trying to pin-point anyone but yeah :/ so when it was time to go for area cleaning briefing we got ourselves the toilet -_- oh great, but luckily one of the toilets were being cleaned by the aunty, so we only had one to clean. and to the volunteers who helped out, thank you very much for taking the initiative :) 1-2 then changed themselves into their pinafore and white blouse, we hurried and rushed through our finale night performance prep. thanks wenjing for coming up with the dance moves, cos' i did nothing, really :( all i did was try to get another task of writing cards to the teachers done :/ which eventually was done too :) after some time extension from deanna, we rushed the sec1s down to the ava for a cca fair briefing :) then we had slack time, where we met up with the retards and casmine, who laughs at nothing yet everything :D after slack time it was a tour round the cca booths, then when they got to the hall it was free and easy :) but i had a hard time calling 1-2 back everytime :( at the hall i saw the harpists!!!! :D and i watched their performance, though i missed a small part of love story :( dinnertime for the sec1s, then we had ours too. after that we had the cca fair presentation, and the instrumentation at the beginning was awesome, though the harps could barely be heard :( and then the uniformed groups' presentations was stunning too! and idk why people kept laughing at the st. john's performance -_- very funny meh? and then there was all that talk about cca attendance and selection stuff for the sec1s, i was about to doze off already :/ until finale night started!!!!! we had the class performances and as class by class finished their performance, me and wenjing were slowly gaining confidence and were like 'sure win liao' hahahahaha. ;) until we saw 1-8's, we were a little scared... :( THEY WERE SUPER ENTHUSIASTIC CAN! :O 1-2 went last, and i must say, i'm definitely very proud of them :') ah well, you'll never know how i'll feel as a group leader, it's just too.... overwhelming :) we did the PL cheer, but it wasn't VERY loud, but not bad! :) after the classes all performed we had our MUCH-AWAITED MASS DANCE! though i was really tired, i somehow plucked up the energy to put in all my heart and soul into dancing :) and i was really happy! even a little happier when i'm laughing with the retards ;) we had the badge presentation ceremony after that, and then the candle light-ups - which were completely amazing when everyone lifted their lit candles up into the air! :') when mr go called out the camp comm on stage, i cried tears of joy after that, i was too touched hahahaha. we brought our classes back to their dorms to take their bags then we were dismissed from there. from there nobody claimed their drinks/food so me and wenjing took 'em all :D hahahaha. :) went home with anchi and slept for 12hours straight that night :) SHIOK.

well, i miss sec 1 camp, alot. i miss the laughters, the cheers we did, the sweat i shed for 1-2, the tears i cried, the shouts/yells, the enthusiasm, the games we played and etc. it's definitely a life-changing camp, and i hope i have touched the lives of the sec1s too! i want sec1camp all over again :) and thanks to my retard family for being there always, to carry tables and to laugh like crazy people <3 :)

hi kids. it's 2011. like officially. i spent my new year's eve at a local hotel near marina bay to watch the fireworks, and it was pretty spectacular :) the breakfast in the hotel was super good, the spread was really wide! and best of all, i swam quite alot to work off the fat ;) that night i sent out 'happy new year' texts, but hardly anyone replied me :( sigh. okay, anyway, school's starting tomorrow, and i'm getting kinda excited cos' of sec1camp! can foresee that it's definitely gonna be a blast! SEC 1 CAMP HERE I COME! :D and school's starting, so i bet i wouldn't have the time to update my blog, so, peace out kids!

hahah i got ya! apparently this year i didn't really get anything special i would like to mention, only chocolates and vouchers. but i still appreciate everything! thank you all to those who texted me merry x'mas and those who gave me presents <3 spent the day at aunt's house, barbecue for dinner! (y) but what was most annoying was that it had to RAIN. RAIN! URGH. we didn't manage to barbecue all the food, so there wasn't quite alot :( oh well. so that was pretty much how i spent my christmas.
i wanna barbecue someday again :)

HAPPY BOXING DAY!
hahaha okay i didn't get 'cha this time. spent the day out at cousin's house. played uno and monopoly deal. super epic. and monopoly deal is damn fun! :) and dinner that night was super good. salmon, baked cheese with beef (i think?), salad, chicken curry, onion rings and soft shell crab. omg damn awesome (y) especially the salmon and onion rings! :D <3 i'm hungry now LOL. so that was pretty much how i spent boxing day ;)

i was supposed to go out with hazel to watch rapunzel but it was canceled :( sorry!!! went out shopping with my parents instead. first stop was prologue@ion, where i got chipboard alphabet stickers and paper whimsies for my scrapbook!!! :) ♥ awesome. i'm so continuing with it later ;) next stop was j8, went to popular and bought my pretty pretty blackboard!!! :D i'm still thinking whether i should chuck out my old whiteboard. it's like 7 years old i think? hahah, shall decide about that soon. ;)

had cca this morning from 9-12. i still need to brush up on my 2nd song. i've practised hard but this ain't enough, i gotta go even further. hope i can get my personal harp stringed soon (it snapped when i didn't even touch it, just my luck!). stayed back for awhile to do up the harp board with madeline, lee dea and charmaine. and taaa-daah! we succeeded! it looks awesome now, thanks to maddy's wonderful painting skills :) haha! harp is ♥ :)

and oh, did i mention i sooooo love Sassafras Lass? :)

i'm going to blog my heart out today.
so many things ran through my mind.

i don't know about any of you guys, but have you all ever felt so inferior? like the worst among your friends, your schoolmates etc. i bet you all must have. but this time i don't know why, this feeling hit me real hard. it hit so hard that i almost wanted to cry. sometimes i feel that i'm always the one who fails at everything. i'm not good at anything, i just feel that i have so many flaws that i can directly point out by just looking at me and things i do. sometimes i feel that i'm stupid, like really stupid. when i'm being compared to, or more of just the fact that i'm mentally doing so, it kind of hits me that i'm not a very smart kid. i don't get very good grades, and i hate it when i'm being compared to with others. at times i really hate the fact that i wasn't born as smart as some people. i feel so left out and helpless. and no matter how hard i try, i just cannot get the grade, while the smart ones can easily ace tests without even studying for them. i think life is really unfair. i really feel that i'm a good-for-nothing. i'm not pretty, i'm not talented, i'm not smart. yeah you all may say, oh, you learn music, but so what? i'm just the average kid-next-door who happens to learn piano. fine, and sometimes people think i'm a nerd just because i look like one and i act like one. don't people get it that i'm studying so hard because i don't want to look like a failure in front of everyone? i don't want to get laughed at, or especially being compared to. what. like i even have a plus point of myself that i can talk about. i really feel small next to some of you. fine, i may not get the same grades like you, but at least i try. and no one even seems to care a thing.

i feel even smaller standing next to you, knowing how much respect you command. i feel like i'm this loser who's being hated and criticised on every minute of people's lives, like as though this society doesn't have a place for me, this nerd. fine, i'm a nerd. whatever you want. you're smart. full stop. all i can say is that life is unfair, really unfair, because some people are born with everything, the brains, the beauty, the talents etc. while some others are just.... forget it. all i know is i feel stupid standing next to you.

the next thing i wanna talk about is, have any of you ever felt like your efforts you put in have gone to waste? i'm not trying to blame or pinpoint anybody here, because it happens all the time. you put your heart and soul into something, but then it turns out like it was nothing? like everything you visioned in your mind crumbles down to rocks, and you cannot do anything about it? i don't get it, what is this? just because of a few people everything turns out in a mess. never mind i'm going to move on from this topic.

and today got me thinking. so many things ran through my mind. this question that got me thinking was, 'what is a leader?' i asked myself this question many times, and also asked myself many rhetorical questions. shouldn't a leader be someone who takes initiative? shouldn't a leader be a good role model? shouldn't a leader be someone who respects everyone including themselves? shouldn't a leader be someone who has enthusiasm to serve? shouldn't a leader be committed to whatever he/she's doing? i don't know, but of course nobody is perfect. at times we make mistakes, and definitely cannot fulfill all those at one time. i'm not perfect either. but we should at least have the basics rooted down within us right? the basics are what ignite the sparks in us to lead & serve. so i don't understand, if the basics aren't even there, how can he/she qualify as a leader? sometimes i make too many mistakes myself, but i'm trying to learn. which explains the picture of my blog post today. change never ends, and i hope to become a better person each day, just like how everyone else will learn from their own experiences too.

and my readers for tolerating my post when i get too frustrated at times.

hey dah peeps! i'm back from..... cruise! it was quite fun, but one thing i regretted was not trying out the water slide. it looks super fun ok! the stupid slide closed at 6pm (which i didn't know), and we went there at about 6.15pm -_- annoying! :@ so, just like that i missed the chance to ride on that super fun... thing. LOL. so anyway, just being random about the stuff i'm actually doing right now... the progress of my scrapbook is, a bit faster than a snail ;) i'm reading up a bit about nutrition too, it's kinda like at my own pace, just that i guess i won't have enough time to finish up what i borrowed. my homework's got a little progress, now i'm only left with chapter 4 and 5's mindmaps for crickcrackmonkey and the history report. i'd better do my history up on tuesday, the mindmaps can wait... for a study date :) i hope there'd be one. -wink- recently i found very nice songs, like 'heartbeat' and 'chemistry', though they're not exactly the newest songs around :) i might add a blog playlist soon? or maybe change my blogskin. hehe, shall see what time permits me to do! bye! :)

hi everyone! i'm going on a cruise again later haha! it's a weekend one. and hopefully it won't be as crowded as before :) ooh and lisa just uploaded this super sexy photo of homin endorsing for marie claire! super sexy i tell ya ;) and ya know what, my tongue just turned numb, like at the tip. :o i was eating ice to soothe my dry lips but then it got stuck to my tongue, and i tried to pull it off, and now it's numb. it even had a small cut and bled a little!!!! :( scary. but after i ate a magnum mini it's okay now haha. anyway i feel like i've neglected my blog (for twitter), but i'll try to post as much as i can before school reopens, it's less than 2 weeks. and i still have 2 more lit mindmaps and history to go. i'm so dead. ah well. anyway i got so bored that i'm did this. haha! i did one for my in-time-to-come blog url ;) which i guess won't be that soon :D

teehee, i love that song, sorta my favourite from atl. :) talking about songs, i haven't really been catching up with mtv, actually, it's more of because i find that songs these days are terrible. they're about nothing but indecent stuff, which i shall not mention here. :/ anyway my life's been kinda boring, as usual, haven't really got a lot of homework done, but it's okay cos' there's gonna be another study date tmr with yeewah & radiant! :) cca's stopped temporarily for now, and will resume on the 28th... i need to take this time to practise.

sentosa yesterday with bunz, stacy, sheryl and madeline! super fun :) i got like buried in sand by them hahahaha :) which made me feel super dirty. had hotdogs for lunch and then we went to play in the water!!! ^^ and i got dragged by stacy and sheryl far far away lah! but at least there was a float :) i felt so super helpless ok hahah. me and madeline planned to stay on shore but those two dragged us in >:( bunz was with them but at least she tried to help me hahaha! bunz pwn. :D we played monkey with stacy's float, but for a short while only :( stacy and sheryl stayed in the water for like what 3 hours! me, bunz and madeline already got up to change after 1-2 hours or so hahah! the toilet was super far!!! i guess we changed for like 1 hour lmao. we were waiting and waiting for those two to get out of the water and change, we got so bored that we went to buy ice cream and popcorn to eat teehee >:) then the leftovers of popcorn give stacy and sheryl rofl. after eating like a pig, we decided not to wait for those two crazy nutcases who wanted to get tanned and so we left sentosa first. :) it was quite confusing as we didn't really know the way... :/ oh well, at least we got home safely. :) let's go out again guys! <3


i super agree with this tweet! i dream about stuff every night, and it's disappointing to wake up finding it was just.... a dream. like how i dreamt about someone giving me a pink polaroid camera for my birthday, like how i dreamt about dbsk coming to singapore but apparently no one was there so i took a picture with them, like how i dreamt about lollipop coming to singapore and having a heart-to-heart talk with them, like how i dreamt of psle year all over again and me getting 260+, like how.... oh.

ah well. sucks to be me, huh?

hi readers. i've been busy this week again. :( monday... let's see aye, i think i was omg i forgot -_- STUPID ME. okay nvm, moving on, tuesday i had cca. and it was so stressful. ms wong picked on the harp1s again :( i really need to practise harder, i think i suck. but i think the syf and the blisters are gonna kill me T_T but it's okay, i am going to try!!! after cca we stayed back for quite a while to do up the harp board. i was kinda angry cos' of my cramps :@ super pain okay! and also when i realised almost all the harpists except for whaleshark and teddybear turned their back on us about the following day's playtime @ owl's. >:( all pangseh us lor. sian :'( but who cares, the four of us had loads of fun baking and playing heehee! :) sorry owl for messing up your kitchen! :P the cheesecake turned out okay, surprisingly! ^^ we harpists are awesome at baking! hehe! then today, had piano in the morning, then went out to school to buy books, then headed to j8 for study date! had lunch at the library cafe and then we found a table at the 4th floor! awesome :) today was quite productive considering the fact that i finished 80% of the chinese paper. i did the 40 mark question okay! i was so focused hahaha. i'm so gonna chiong my b compre tmr. :(

anyway, i heard about the news on twitter that snsd won some disk daesang thing at some award ceremony. the sones are all happy and jumping, but apparently the elfs were kinda upset and even felt guilty about suju not getting the award.. but after seeing @TVXQfacts' tweets, i felt kinda sorry for the elfs, but then again felt even more sad when i thought of dbsk. what is dbsk now? jyj and homin. it's not how it's supposed to be. dbsk is five, it is jaejoong, yunho, changmin, yoochun and junsu, together. at least suju is performing on stage, but what about dbsk? :'( -sob- but the bond between CassieElfs kinda inspires me... haha, anyway congrats to snsd for winning disk daesang!

hello! i just changed my skin :) it's not really one of the newest skins around but yeah, i think it's quite nice! i just re-edited quite alot of stuff, because originally, it was a geeky skin haha! i might change the picture on top left column as it would get boring after awhile. so yeah. anyway, i went to nex with rad&haz and it was super crowded -_- walked around popular and i managed to buy a scrapbook! YES. and that low-fat, no i should say, non-fat yogurt is damn good! it's one of a kind, and it's totally awesome. you DIY your own yogurt! it's really self-service, the toppings are really nice, especially the waffle crumbs! :) after walking around much, we went to food junction to stop by for yongtauhu. i love it superduper alot yo. :) then had fries at macs too haha. went home after much window-shopping and caught the amazing race! nick was totally a _______ there okay. seriously. vicki was trying so hard and all he did was grumble, complain and left her to do everything. what a guy gay. so because his guyness gayness, they have a six-hour penalty the next leg, which is totally stupid.
