hectic schoolweek.
hello.
i've finally settled in after a long day, and found the time to update my beloved blog.
well, we're almost done with the last common tests of our secondary school life! :)
actually, i felt that all the papers were kinda shitty hahaha.
'cos i didn't really study, and put sleep as my first priority instead.
but honestly, everyone including me is so busy studying for tests and doing homework, we barely get our minimal 8 hours of rest at night.
what's up with the education system?
there is no point in dumping truckloads of homework on to the students, forcing them to get them done and understand the concepts and making them ace their tests.
so what if your report card proudly displays straight a's?
i'm sure there's no meaning to that when you don't even have morals.
whatever happened to true education, where we were taught to discern right from wrong?
or has it never existed?
studying for tests daily has made me lack sleep, and thus i came down with a fever the day before my history paper.
this got me thinking: why am i stressing myself out so much?
why do i have to put in so much effort to study?
like everyone else says, "study hard for a good future."
yes so that's what i'm doing.
but to the extent that is detrimental to your health and well-being?
then i think we've crossed the line.
there needs to be a defined limit to how much we should work and play.
though it varies from person to person i'm sure everyone deserves a good old break somewhere somehow.
WE STUDENTS NEED OUR REST!
DON'T PRESSURE US.
well anyway, enough of ranting.
celebrated our last valentine's day in PL, in an all-girls school.
i'm sure i'll miss the fun and affection we share among us when i leave the sheltering walls of PL.
i love how everyone puts in the effort to do something for a friend out of love.
PL definitely is one big warm family.
thanks everyone for all the chocolates, cards, cookies and flowers!!!

got a fair bit of exercise done today - headed down to east coast park with some of the sports day comm to check out the place!
tandem-biked with radiant and it was pretty fun, and i must admit, i was less scared than before to ride the back seat of the bike HAHAHA.
i must learn how to cycle!
anyway i also scooter-ed for 4km+ and i was soooooo exhausted by the time we reached macs!
at least i made up for the lack of PE lessons this week!
didn't do much after i came home though...
haven't tumblr-ed in a while so i shall visit the site now.
going on a reblogging spree, bye!
did i mention i'm falling in love with one direction over and over again everytime i watch one thing? liam's hair is sooooooooooooooooo sexy ;)

school is killing me.....
haven't blogged in like what, 3 weeks or so?
life's baaaaad i tell you, so, so bad.
we're having so many tests at one shot and it's soooo stressful.
i teared over a math yesterday before & during the test.
i think i have arithmophobia.
I HATE MATH SO MUCH.
anyway.

first week of school!
hi my anonymous readers out there.
whether you're from mars or venus, i thank you for taking time to read my blog.
no one pops by anymore :(
damn those big o's!
nah.
anyway, first week of school is finally over!
one week seemed like one month, one period seemed like one day, a few hours seemed like... well, a century.
time passes super slowly during lessons, but i've been doing my part by sleeping before 11! :)
big improvement from me who used to sleep at 12am everyday :(
i still feel sleepy during lessons though.
well, cca fair was yesterday and i must say it was (Y)(Y)(Y).
profit from popcorns and candy floss wasn't huge, but at least we did smth to help the school :)
cca fair comm. ftw!!! <3
helped out with principal meet parents too :)
got me thinking 'bout my future.
went to two open houses today - temasek jc & poly.
pretty cool stuff :>
tjc's super enthusiastic, while tp's really eye-opening.
never knew the polys offered such a wide range of courses too :)
going to sajc's next week.
hope it'll be fun!!!
i've got tuition tomorrow, so see you, who knows when ;)

HAPPY NEW YEAR (2012)!
it's a brand new year, with brand new aspirations, brand new lifestyle, brand new attitude!!!!
LOL.
2012's going to be one crazy year, with the big o's at the end awaiting us.
have to start getting my engine revved.
HERE'S TO ONE AWESOME YEAR AHEAD AND ALL THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES IN 2011.
had a great new year's eve lunch with cip buddies yesterday at madeline's place :)
peranakan food was good good! :D
watched final destination 5 and played monopoly deal!
had good chats at the playground too :)
great day, great day!!! :)
went to sentosa with my family today too.
headed to the maritime museum, played the segway ecogreen ride & watched songs of the sea :)
love how i spent the new year with my family <3 :)
school's starting tomorrow (technically).
can't wait to see my friends, but at the same time, i gotta be serious about studying for o's!!!!

PB Camp 2011 ♥
it's been a great and wonderful 3 day 2 night camp i had with the fellow prefectorial board.
shall blog about this marvellous camp i experienced <3
day 01 (28/12)
day started off with lunch at macs with radiant :)
had a great chat about local dramas and the silly plots hehehe.
bet we had many people staring. :p
headed back to school for camp, and i was 'late' -_-
we were then given random group allocations (GREEN FTW)
had singspiration downstairs in the ava and it was pretty good :-)
got seated in our groups, and had 14 awesome people in group 3!
andrea, rachael, zhijing, bi ting, syazana, edith, heather, abigail, esther, shermaine, nadia, natasha & li yun :)
gotta thank you guys in advance for being the best team i could ever ask for :)
so we took level photos, brought our bags to the classrooms and headed down to the parade square for games :-)
played the scissor-paper-stone game, touch-it & dodge ball! ^^
touch-it was super funny 'cos we all nearly died of suffocation while trying to grab hold to someone who had the color that was called out :p
had lots of fun though!
dodge ball was even better 'cos it was super epic how we tried to hit our opponents with the volleyballs :P
i managed to hit one person though!!!!
#ACHIEVEMENT lololol.
after that we played the staircase game whereby we had to drag our butts up the grand staircase with our team!
super epic 'cos it looked super obscene :D
and guess what!
green group finished the butt game first WOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :)
so we sang grace as a group and went down for dinner~ (Y)
had cabbage + sausages + fishcakes + rice :D
rice was pretty dry though :/
we all finished dinner pretty early so all 4 groups went to the parade square to play island game :)
i hardly ran..... but it was good fun + exercise!
then when the exco set up the game............. OMG BEST GAME EVER HAHAHAHAHA.
it was scissor-paper-stone on chairs (hopping from seat to seat), and the seat had ketchup + detergent + styrofoam + etc. HAHAHA.
I LOVED HOW MY SHORTS WERE ALL DIRTY THOUGH I HAD A HARD TIME WASHING IT XD
played captain soap after that and i totally sucked 'cos i am damn fail at captain's ball LOL.
i just stood there to be an extra HAHAH.
played this treasure hunt game where we had to find pieces of colored paper :)
i was blindfolded and our whole team was tied tgt too!
pretty challening but FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN :D
we had trouble untying heather's shoelaces and so i went round limping with an extra pair of shoe.... (thanks gillian for helping us untie though!)
bathed after that and felt squeaky clean!!!!!!!!!!!!
supper time and da food was good :)
like how we could make our own milo ^^
lights out was at 11+, but WE WERE RUDELY AWAKEN AT 2AM OMG.
AND THIS IS THE BEST PART (embarrassing shit).
I THOUGHT IT WAS 6AM 'COS I WAS STILL HALF-ASLEEP.
THINKING THAT IT REALLY WAS 6AM, I TOOK MY TOOTHBRUSH WITH ME AND WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM BAREFOOTED.
BUT I REALISED, "EH? WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE BRINGING THE TOOTHBRUSH?"

I WALKED ON AND ON, THINKING WE WERE GOING TO THE TOILET TO WASH UP BUT NO, WE HEADED BACK DOWN TO THE PARADE SQUARE OMG.
I WAS LIKE WTH WHAT ABOUT MY TOOTHBRUSH! OK I'LL JUST DUMP IT AT THE STAFF ROOM'S PHONE.

the night-walk was pretty draining 'cos i was still half-asleep, i was walking round aimlessly and was blindfolded for like 45mins.
i almost exploded...
finally got back to sleep at around 4+.

day 02 (29/12)
started off the day with morning exercise by doing push-ups, chin-ups, sit-ups and etc. hahahaha.
me and zhijing were super lousy at the sit-ups 'cos we kept laughing hahaha :P
or maybe it was just me XD
while waiting for breakfast, we all slacked around and lied on each other's tummy to rest :P
it was pretty good hahaha.
had bread with jam for breakfast and headed up to the dance studio for worship!!! :)
must say it was pretty good :)
went through all the SOPs of the different committees, pretty dry but oh well :)
STUDENT WELFARE FTW BTW
hahahaha but of course.
slacked around while waiting for lunch and caught up with mah awesome buddy, retards & best friend <3 ;)
came up with this awesome action with jasley when calling seow hwee.
ARMS AKIMBO IN A HIGH-PITCHED VOICE HAHAHAHAHA DAMN EPIC.
played animal concentration with the same people and it was so funny how we couldn't even remember our own animal sounds :P
after lunch we had a teeny little bit more SOPs, slacked around even more and then we had station games whoohooooooooooooooo! :)
first station was sudoku and it nearly pissed me off :(
heather was so fed up she guessed all the boxes trololol
esther was pretty good too! :)
glad to have known some juniors better through this :D
after super long we finally completed one puzzle LOL
headed to the next station of the timer thing, while most of them worked on how to synchronise the beat.
i was sitting in a corner figuring out sudoku puzzles in case we failed the clock station lol.
'cos if we don't meet the requirement for any station, we'd had to go back and start at the sudoku station :O
but green group succeeded and pulled through to the 3rd station where we had to squeeze lime, water & sugar into our mouths and spit it out to fill a cup LOL!
LOVED THAT STATION SRSLY!
green group was awesome and had an awesome time of 2mins 30secs!!!
we also got through the pail station pretty easily, but finished 3rd in the whole station games! :)

DON'T FORGET THE LYRICS GAME AT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.
the songs were all pretty familiar :)

and to my surprise seow hwee actually got the lyrics to lean on me correctly OMG SHE IS A GENIUS.

then everyone settled down for a movie!!!!!!!
i was freezing cold in the dance studio but the movie was great and taught me a lot about team success. <3

day 03, (30/12)
woke up earlier than usual 'cos i had cca from 9-12 :(
so i missed a part of the camp...
sigh.
had awesome cereal with milk for breakfast and orange juice :)
pretty good stuff!!!
had cca all the way till 12 and i was almost dozing off 'cos i barely had 5 hours of sleep the night before :(
but anyway!
luckily i didn't miss any interesting stuff, only singspiration + clean-up :P
yayyyy.
after cca we did affirmations and it was nice to have known green group so much better after this whole camp :)
did our group cheers + thank-you cheer for ms yee :)

day 29-31 + others!
hello world.
haven't blogged in a long while.
well, i shall finish up my music challenge then update :)
day 29: a song that you've heard a million times but still don't know all the words
i used to like this song a lot, and heard it pretty often...
but i just can't seem to remember the lyrics, no idea why :P
maybe 'cos it's no longer my genre ;)
day 30: a song you could sing right now despite not having listened to it in a long time

okay hi guys.
it's been about a week or so that i returned from genting.
pretty good trip, 'cos i got loads of shopping done, arcade was (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y) & i was a good sister and accompanied janelle to sit the indoor rides.
i didn't have time/anyone to go with to try the outdoor theme park :-(
o well it's fine :)
anyway, there's been a change in lifestyle recently...
now i've gotta learn to be independent - wake up early to send my sister to school, make the bed, mop the floor, cook, do the dishes, fold the clothes etc. etc.
well, i'm already 15 and if i always rely on someone else to do it for me then i can really call myself a failure for life.
so yup, gotta get used to all this.
did i mention i cooked rice for the first time and it turned out to be semi-porridge, fried eggs for the first time and it turned out to be salted eggs (i accidentally spilled too much salt in), soup for the first time and it turned out to be plain water. :P
oh well practise!!! :)
my life has been pretty stagnant other than the change in daily routines...
tuition, homework, revision's very standard.
my life next year is going to be a roller coaster ride.
once i get on to it, i'm not gonna be able to stop.
all the way for o's!!!!!!
attended my cousin's wedding today :)
the videos were really good and the photos were really sweet :')
food was pretty okay! <3
and today i found out my cousins had twitter and that I BOUGHT THE WMYB + NANANA SINGLE + POSTER OMG I AM DAMN EXCITED TO PASTE IT KTHXBYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :)

went down to somewhere in ubi with abigail, narcissa and xiaohui to order the cca fair shirts :)
it was super ulu but we managed to meet up and find the place!!!
after 100+ comments at a facebook post and 2 photos, we did it!!!!!! :)

the t-shirt supplier was really nice to us 'cos we didn't have enough then to make the downpayment but he said it was okay :)

bus-ed down to my house, and played mario kart on wii!
it was really funny how we all ended up last :P
cooked our own lunch of instant mee goreng, scrambled eggs and carrot chicken soup hahaha!!!
