why i love plpb so much ♥

Tag replies:

@Madeline: Hello Mad thanks for the tag :D

it's the march holidays!!!
and yes it's going to be over in a day's time.
switching on my back-to-school mode soon!!!
let me start off with my first few days of the holiday, which were also spent with plpb~
it's been awesome <3 :)

friday, 9th march
had meet-the-parents ushering duty with the fellow prefects :)
i was kinda annoyed 'cos we got scoldings every 5 minutes....
and it was over trivial matters.
like how the chairs weren't arranged far apart enough and all.
there wasn't even enough space please...
what's more it was 7+ in the morning where i was still half awake.
like seriously.
what a bad start to the day.
but as the day progressed, my mood lifted because of my dear prefects <3
talked and bonded even more with them, and that's what makes prefect duty so much fun.
no matter how much scoldings we get, how many chairs or tables we have to carry, how long we have to stand around, how much pain we have to endure, it's the strong bond among the fellow prefects that we share that make every duty/ushering so fun and enjoyable :')
though that day we got ticked off by a few parents for no rhyme or reason, it didn't matter, really.
had mcwings for lunch and gongcha from anchi, which made my day even better <3

had cca in the afternoon and practised for wednesday's performance.
did sports day stuff simultaneously too.
it was hard work, i admit.
at night i had another round of service - and that was to usher for SSO.
me and yihui were the only sec 4s who signed up though!
packed kfc back to school for dinner, didn't manage to eat with abs, sheryl and yx though :(
ushered for sso with yihui, johanna and grace at the agape's main gates and i definitely got to know both the sec 2s alot better!
we even came up with some quirky welcome lines for the guests HAHAHA.
guess we were too crazy :P
ms oh allowed us to go for dinner shifts and this was when valerie all started :D
grace called desiree 'valerie' instead and it was so hilarious omg.
won't go into detail 'cos i think i'll be only one who finds it funny :p
and yihui too hahahaha.
laughed like mad over dinner too 'cos yihui and desiree kept laughing over chilli packets :P
though we didn't manage to sit in for the show, i'm thankful for the more quality time spent with the prefects :)
after the show we headed for the pb room and guess what we found - 3 roaches!!!!!!!
our shocked reactions were totally epic :P
took pics and polaroids with the sso peeps after the show too <3
luv u all ;)

day well spent ^^

weekends
the weekends were as usual, tuition with the same buds and met up with seowhwee to do sports day spreadsheets.
spent my entire afternoon doing 'em but it was worth the effort!!! :)

monday, 12th march
spent my entire day with the board again :)
played warm-up games like that zip zap zoop zoop game & give me rhythm ready go! :)
now i finally learnt how to play that rhythm game hahaha i used to suck at it so badly.
after games we had some captain's ball which got us all pretty hyped up!
played the challenge, where we had different stations to complete!
wanted to take part in the piggybacking game but was afraid that i would fall/kill someone if i were to be piggybacked... :p
the ladder game was pretty fun too!
the kiap-the-ball-between your legs one was the best.
i looked like a pregnant penguin with that huge basketball between my legs.
thank goodness got no picture :>
then we played the crawl under the chairs game which made everyone's elbows hurt like mad!!!
luckily i was the scorekeeper :P
and i was pretty much a bystander for the ping pong game too :P
THE OREO GAME WAS PLAIN YUCK BUT SO FUNNY HAHAHA!
we were s'posed to put the oreo on our face and use our facial muscles to wiggle it into our mouths :P
I FAILED SO BADLY COS MY FACE HAD SO MANY MORE PIMPLES AND MY OREO DROPPED ON THE FLOOOOOOOOOOR. >:(
after the station games we had to bid for food for lunch... it was literally "the hunger games" LOLOL.
tribe 1 had pretty little food, our staple was like long beans TROLOLOLOL.
chloe and cheryl were pretty good with handling outdoor cooking, and our eggs, luncheon meat and mushrooms turned out scrumptious!!!!

and this was me after trying the uncooked long bean.

i mean, you can't expect much out of outdoor cooking, right? ;)
anyway, after lunch we played this 100-grid game thing.
didn't really take part though, but spent my time talking to the retards in a corner :P
good enough...
the afternoon got pretty bad but it was fine....
shan't talk about it.
played touch rugby and had quite long breaks inbetween :)
which was good 'cos it gave me time to cool off about stuff.
played like blind mice and i was so lost while catching.. :P
after that we had like free time all the way or something!!!!
played GMRRG with the sec 4s & sec 2s :)
laughed like mad and the neh neh game was super fail too :P
i mean seriously what kind of game is called neh-neh hahahahha
then we learnt some birthday cheer thing, and IT WAS FINALLY DINNER :)
laughed at desiree and edith doing their retarded dances and played around the math and science corner trolololol.
bbq food was good good!!!! <3
though the chicken was raw, i thought it was still dayum good HAHAHA.
prolly lunch wasn't filling enough D:
and the pok pok crackers that went with the beehoon was (y) too!
LOVED THE CRABSTICK AND MUSHROOM W CHEESE THE MOST MMM OM NOM NOM BEST
the whole night of barbecuing and eating bbq-ed food reminded me so much about last year's sec 1 camp comm bbq <3
memories :')
washed up the plates and picked up the knocked-over trash bag (LOL) and headed up to the dance studio)
(btw as i type this it's all so crystal clear to me like as if it just happened yesterday... love plpb so much ahhhh)
pieced up a gigantic plpb homosapien puzzle and it was so brilliant, honestly :)

the next part was ms oh's devotion.
and i must say it really hit me the most.
i think it was one of the most meaningful devotions i've ever had the whole of my secondary school life.
ms oh talked about family.
how a complete family would be different and special, compared to a family with one member absent.
it reminds me of how precious each member of the family (board) is, and how we can contribute in our own ways to make this family a stronger, closer and more united one.
it also taught me to come with a heart of servanthood, which only then will you be able to find greater joy.
and then this quote came to my mind.

"ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

which made me think of my retards.
how we've stuck close together since the start of 2011, and how many vivid memories of serving and helping in the board we've created.
i will never forget all the laughter we had.
i love you guys :*
then came the exco's sharing...
which really made me shed so much tears...
every word the exco said, suddenly made me feel so nostalgic about my journey in the board.
i am going to miss plpb so much when we step down/graduate, i really really am.
especially gillian and yeewah, their words made tears prick at my eyes so much though i was looking at the floor the whole time.
a video the exco made was also screened, and thank goodness it wasn't that touching as i expected it to be :P
if not all my tears would have flooded the dance studio... :')
then that sorta concluded the camp after we did our pb camp + btb cheer.
last pb camp as a board.
i love you plpb so very very much <3
#bestfamilyever.

EVERYBODY I AM TALL, OH YES

EVERYBODY SAY HI TO VALERIE

thanks guys for listening to me rant on about how much plpb means to me, how much i love them and all.
but pb is not just a board, we're a family <3
i'll blog about the harp ensemble again tmrw :)
AND PHOTO THANKS TO YEEEEEWAAAAAAAH! :)
